SACRED ALTAR.....SACRED SPACE

                                 SACRED ALTAR.....SACRED SPACE

Today, I'd like to share a little lesson about Sacred Spaces and Sacred Altars. I think this can help you up your practice to a new level, and increase your understanding of what's what.

Sacred space is simply a place where rites are performed. It can be: temporary, permanent, simple, grand, large or small.

Sacred altar is your gateway, door, portal to where these rites are performed. Your sacred altar is your access point to sacred space.

Sacred space then is your continuing journey whereas sacred altar is merely a guide post, a marker, a way to enter into your journey.

Your journey can, and should, continue after you reach your new landing spot.
You need to enter into your sacred space.
Ideally you will enter into communication with Divine by whatever makes you comfortable, for example: runes, cards, gratitude, angels, masters.
You let this communication carry you though the next door (and the next door) of your journey.

Remember, the next door is not the end, but the beginning of your next journey.

Be alert: our mortal bodies are so comfortable with ritual, that makes it easy to stop once you have performed your rituals.
Next time, use your techniques to get through your portal, and then go further.
  • Slow down, center, inhale.
  • Can you sense, see, feel, perceive how the air is denser, cooler, fuller, richer, thicker?
  • Allow this air to enter your lungs and infuse every fiber of your being.
Your senses will be heightened. You will begin to notice sounds that you had not heard before.

Colors will become more vibrant. Thinking will be more intense.

Embrace all this and allow it to take you to another dimension.

A “Cord of Time” will grasp your soul.

The sounds of yesterday will become stronger, fuller, easier to identify. Each step will take you deeper and deeper. You will know you are on the path home.
With each level you will not only sense a closeness, but also the language, signs and symbolism will become more familiar to you. You will be drawn closer and closer to connection with the Divine.
  • Using this method, allow your quiet time / sacred space / sacred altar to become not just a ritual, but a connection/conduit with the Divine.
You are going on a journey of remembrance – back home. Your sacred space, when you enter, will have an odd familiar remembrance - even possibly an odd familiar whisper in a language known or unknown. There will be a gentle tug of remembrance / knowing and it will take you to the next level.

Just receive and allow Spirit to draw you in.
Just “notice what you notice”.
See, sense, feel, perceive all that is around you. Notice the ache in your soul and release yourself entirely to Divine.
