We are all born with creativity. It takes many forms: painting, creating computer coding or baking — the list goes on and on.  But this is the juicy stuff that comes from your heart and your inner spirit. This  is not the facts and figures from your mind. Just pause, and stop critiquing yourself. LOL Remember as a child, you were more free with expressing yourself. Guess what, all that amazing, magical energy is still inside of you. It is so eager to come out and play. But you have likely forgotten about it and it has been shoved down into the hardly used corner of your psyche.

Guess what, we are now going to start digging around in there and opening up this magical box of inspiring fun and creative surprises. Do not get overwhelmed. You can start with baby steps. The key is to start at the very beginning. The very best place to start.

The pastel angel above, is one I created at a retreat almost a year ago. It was so fun to just play and flow with the art. A friend that was with me at the outing, told me that it reminded her of Lucille Ball. Ha ha ha. So, I ended up giving her the art to keep. But I still have this photo of it. I am continuing to explore other avenues of creativity, too. And I want you to explore more as well. Go where the spirit leads you.

Ok, so you might be thinking — Great, I am being creative right now. This was kind of fun. But so what, Now I need to get back to the real world and be serious again. Whoah, slow down. Creativity can be a part of our lives everyday. And it should be! Whether we are listening to our favorite music and dancing, creating mastery in the kitchen or sewing a quilt or halloween costume… this is all part of what feeds our soul and makes us feel whole and complete. 

We need to care for all of us daily, if possible. We all need balance. Too much of anything is just that… too much! I love to go outside and enjoy a cup of hot coffee early in the morning and just relax and enjoy the sounds and sights of nature. This is tuning into God’s creativity, which inspires me. When I take down-time for me on a consistent basis, everything is better. And it feels like the rest of the world gets put on pause for a few moments. Give it a try.

As I have mentioned before, the energy on this planet is changing. And it is changing faster and faster. We all have a tendency to stay in our comfort zone and old habits because it gives us the illusion of safety and comfort. Guess What? That is just our ego fooling us! It is a lie.The job of the ego is to keep us safe, locked up in a box and not stepping up to be our true selves. It is time to trust our intuition and the guidance from the universe.

Are you enjoying what you are doing? Is it fun? Are you expanding on a soul level? Do you get excited and motivated? Maybe you are just taking what you already love to do and expanding to the next level? Or maybe you are stepping into something totally new and doing it on the side? Either way, I know this is what really gets your heart beating!

So face the truth, your past is holding you back and slowing you down. I know you want more, a lot more. You are afraid that stepping out with this new ideas sounds crazy. And to some people, it does. Don’t share it with those people until you have more confidence and momentum, Find people who are like-minded and supportive. Make up your mind and set your intention today that this is YOUR life and you want to live it where you express your true you and make a positive difference in the world. You can begin with baby steps, if you want. We all need a regular paycheck and benefits. Start moving in the direction you desire and guidance and support will appear. Increase your awareness and notice. The magic begins when you just start moving!

Fun is waiting for you! Be Spontaneous or Plan it. Just Do it!

We each have our own definition of fun, which is how it should be. And certainly at different ages and stage of life, that definition changes. I recently saw the new Disney - Christopher Robin movie. It was delightful, how fun! Of course, I am a Winnie the Pooh fan. The characters are always sharing simple yet deep and powerful wisdom, if you really listen. And this movie continues to inspire, yet it is from a different perspective as the movie promos are showing. Christopher Robin has grown up. And that is all I will say. I am not going to spoil this movie for anyone. 

I was really moved by the power of the Red Balloon. It is such a basic object that has been part of childhood for many years. The color Red has many meanings… but here it speaks Enthusiasm to me. And Balloons speak of childhood, celebrations and, mostly, Fun!

So, are you having fun on a regular basis? Have you been laughing or at least smiling? How much enthusiasm are you sharing at work, in your free time or in your relationships? I know that not everything in life is overly joyful. But we can choose to make other parts of our life more enjoyable. We are the ones who have that power. It is our life, after all. 

This week, make time to have fun. Some of you like to be spontaneous — Great, go for it. Others like to plan their activities and time more carefully — Wonderful. Do what works best for YOU! I am simply challenging you to have more fun. If you get inspired, send me a note and let me know what you are doing, or who you are having fun with. Pictures are great too. They can speak very clearly. (And I may share some on my website!) 

I wish all of you a joyous week — whether that means rambunctious and energetic or peaceful and low key. That is totally up to YOU! Fun is waiting for you!

Kids off to College for the first time?

It is that time of year and many of you are sending children off to college for the first time.  

For some of you, this will be with a sigh of releif.  For others it will be with just a sigh.  There will also be that bitter sweet moment of wonderment/bewilderment as you suddenly can't figure out how all the years have marched on.  You note that you were not able to capture them then nor can you do so now.

Off & on you will notice an odd feeling you can’t quite put your finger on. 

Your family unit has its own aura.

A child  leaving  -no how ready you  all are for it - leaves a hole in your family aura.  It will repair itself but will take  bit of time.  Be gentle with yourself!

It seems like yesterday my daughter was a babe in arms & then Time tricked me & suddenly she was all grown up!

A Mother's Call

I take this life You loaned me
And give her back to You.
I’ve done all that I’ve been called to
And now it’s up to You.

I place her fully
In Your loving care.
Watch, guide and keep her
Here and everywhere.

Regardless of your beliefs, your Heart and Spirit are in charge of your happiness. Doesn’t that sound a bit crazy and overly simple? But it really is true. Once you change your perspective, you start by choosing to be happy and have your dreams and wishes come true — regardless of current circumstances. 

If you are dreaming of a vacation, new career situation or an improved relationship, you have the power to impact all of these in a beautiful way. The first place to start is with YOU. Start by loving and accepting yourself and accepting your current circumstances. Yes, there may be some healing work involved. I can help you with that, too. My message is Focus on your Dreams! What do you really truly want in life? I will break this down into Five Steps. That is really how simple it is.

• Release Pain & Suffering — View as a Life Lesson
• Focus your Thoughts, Effort and Energy on your DREAMS!
• Don’t worry about the details, Let the Universe provide the answers

Think Happy?

Some days it is difficult to "put on a happy face".  Even if putting on a happy face can be accomplished, making your inner being match your outer expression can be a monumentous endeavor.

Why is this?

Let's delve into the crux of the matter and find an "illuminated solution" that works.

Did you know you were created to look for t

he negative in life - not the positive?

It is  "throw back" to our survival instinct.

On waking or entering a new situation, our brains were designed to immediately/autmatically first hone in on anything - no matter how tiny - negative and deal with it first as it was a potential threat to our survival.

In manifesting gratitute, abundance and success, it is so very important to start each day with a positive attitude and walk on true positivity through out the day.

If you struggle with positivity...

Be mindful of your attitude - monitor it.

If you start out in negativity or slip into negativity at any time.  Stop, take a look around.  Confirm  all around you is safe & then you will find yourself with a blank canvas that you can fill with gratitude, grace and all  things positive.

Be persistant. Do this any time you find yourself in anything other than gratitude or positive living.  Shortly, the switch from a negative attitde to a positive one will be effortless and automatic.
